What is it?

Wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process. With age, our skin gets thinner, drier and we lose elastin. The ability of our skin to protect itself is reduced as we age. Eventually, wrinkles, creases, and lines form on our skin.

Continuous muscle contraction is also another major contributor to facial wrinkles. Continuous muscle movement causes 'dynamic wrinkles' which only appear when the muscle is used. Over time, if untreated, these wrinkles can become 'static wrinkles' which means they become permanently etched in our skin.

How does it work?
Whilst the face is in motion the lines that appear are known as dynamic wrinkles, however, repeated movement over time forms deeper lines and folds known as static wrinkles. Healing period
Whilst with any needle treatment, there is a risk of slight redness and bruising, downtime is almost zero. You may feel tender and some clients report an initial headache, but this subsides quickly.

Risks & Complications
You may have some localised tenderness and bruising - however these are only temporary and should subside within a few days of treatment. In the very rare instance of an infection, robust aftercare will always be provided.

What happens at the appointment?
Every appointment begins with a thorough consultation, and completion of a medical questionnaire. We will answer any questions you may have, and we fully inform you of any potential risks and complications. We discuss realistic expectations so both parties are satisfied with the outcome. Once you have made an informed decision, you will sign a consent form and photographs will be taken as part of the medical record.
